Premier League Review (Sunday's Games)

Spurs - As previously mentioned, will be challenging for 5th spot. Great start but hard to see them usurping the Top 4

West Ham - On evidence they look like they can replicate last years success. Zola working wonders with little resources

Everton - This years Spurs? Key player being sold just as season kicks off, having disastrousaffect on the team

Burnley - Credit where credit is due, fantastic week for Burnley. If I was Owen Coyle I'd look for new contract now. Still fancy them to get relegated

Chelsea - Biggest plus for Chelsea fans will be Drogba and Anelka playing well together, last season it was generally one or the other on the field

Fulham - With their scoring record, they're unlikely to win many games once they go a goal down

Premier League Review (Saturday Games)

Working on a foxer today painting your neighbours roof? Too stingy to pay for Setanta/ESPN? A Billy no mates, with no one to go to the pub with? Don't worry! All saturdays Premier League action is reviewed for you right here

Arsenal - 10 goals in 2 games, none by a striker. Good for Arsenal, bad for fantasy teams

Portsmouth - Becoming as synonymous with the letter "L" as "Mean Girls"

Birmingham - Not hard to be the better footballing side against Stoke

Stoke - Need to come up with a Plan B. Plan A, seems to be hoof it and hope for a throw

Blackburn - Anyone for watching Premier League Years 1995??

Sunderland - Jones and Bent is one of the better strike partnerships in Premiership. Perfect balance of speed, height and power..... and Bent is there as well

Man Utd - Proved what many said could of happened against Burnley, once they get one they could get 5. Nani looking more like a replacement for Ronaldo than Valencia

Wigan - Could win the Tony Mowbray award for playing good football and getting relegated this year. Instead of kicking players(Bl***burn), relying on throws(S***e) or relying on set pieces(Bo***n), they are trying to actually play ball. Could be their downfall, lot to be said for launching it up to Kevin Davies!

Man City - Still to prove they're as good as the sum of their parts

Wolves - All things considered they will take positives from the game...Like being able to tell birds tonight their Premier League footballers!

Hull - Phil Brown's earpiece had this to say "ya we are delighted, first win in bloody ages!" . Ex Ireland manager Steve Staunton commented on the result "Everyone knows Hull play better around the X-factor time of year, so when I heard it was starting tonight I threw a monkey (€20) on them to win. I'm the gaffer!"

Bolton - How is Jaaskelainen still at such a shit club??

The Greatest Sporting Event in the World

Quick Summary of my favorite sporting events and why. Agree? Disagree? something big I've left out, comment and let me know...

1. Superbowl

Just can't be beaten in terms of a pure sporting spectacle. The hype, the money, the people staying up late, getting up early to watch it and of course; the commercials!

2. Final day of the English Premier League

3 of 20 teams get relegated every year, losing £50,000,000 in revenue. Often depends on final day results, now that is pressure (NFL team no matter how bad will always be in NFL the following year)

3. US Masters

In here due to its legendary tradition of the green jacket, Butlers Cabin and winners dinner. In addition it hasn't sold out and is one of the least commercial high profile sporting events you can attend. Same course, yet every year vastly different results

4. Wimbledon

Tradition again lives strong here. Strict rules on all whites for players. Strawberries and cream for the crowds. Tennis in its original setting

5. Olympics

Every 4 years the Olympics makes us give a shit about sports we normally....well..don't give a shit about!

Notable Mentions: World Series, NBA finals, World Cup, March Madness, NFL Draft

Heey LazySportsFan this List is bullshit what about.....

Stanley Cup - haha
BCS Championship Game - Not until the 2 best teams each year play each other
Champions League Final - Often it isn't actually the best teams in Europe who get there
WSOP - It is awesome, but a sport??

Premiership Review

Manchester United -
Rooney recently said he accepts responsibility for replacing Ronaldo's goals. He should start by replacing Ronaldo as penalty taker.

Burnley - Fantastic result. However will they be as motivated playing games such as Bolton on 26th December?

Liverpool - Really need to solve their off the field issues so they can concentrate on hammering teams like Stoke

Stoke City - Beaten by a better side. Still no sign of anyone being able to defend Delap throws!

Spurs - Season off to a flyer with 7 goals in 2 games. Will challenge Villa, Everton and Man City for top 5

Hull - 2 games 2 losses, but beaten by good teams. Regardless though conceding 5 reeks of sloppy defending

Birmingham - Will be happy with a win they didn't necessarily deserve

Portsmouth - Not doing an awful lot wrong in two 1-0 losses

Strange but True!

This is one of the more ridiculous things I've heard in a while and reminded me of an episode of the cartoon Futurama

In the episode the character Bender (a robot) enters into the 3004 robot olympics as a fembot (female robot). Bender wins five gold medals for the fictional country of Robonia, but it is revealed that the winners will have their oil tested to confirm that they are actually fembots.

Well its now happening at the World Championships. South Africa's track and field federation had been asked to conduct a gender test on an 800-meter runner amid concerns she does not meet the requirements to compete as a woman. Caster Semenya, 18, is a favorite in Wednesday's 800 final at the world championships.

IAAF spokesman Nick Davies said the "extremely complex, difficult" test has been started but that the results were not expected for weeks.

 LOL...

Golf at the Olympics??

When Tiger Woods was a child he put up a list of Jack Nicklaus's major wins on his wall, setting it as his goal to beat it.

He did not put up a picture of Mark Spitz (American with most olympic medals before being overtaken by part time dolphin Michael Phelps)

Tennis was added to the Olympics, and while the pros pay it lip service, I can't imagine Roger Federer changing his nicely made "15" jacket if he wins Gold. (Jacket is shown below, 15 = 15 majors he's won)

Tennis, Golf and Soccer are sports too big to have at the Olympics. The pros don't really care and it takes away from amateur athletes in more marginal sports.

At least Soccer is an under 23 tournament which gives many lesser known players a chance to play on world stage.

Or if Golf is added....how about this.....only allow club professionals to compete! How amazing would that be to watch? Regular golfers (albeit very good players off scratch) teeing off every four years for a once in a lifetime shot (like it is in other olympic sports). I think this is a much better idea then allowing Tiger and Mickelson add to their already bulging trophy cabinets
